OWH Challenge #30

Hello there everyone!

Not too much going on here lately, just dealing with a lot of personal family issues, YAY! Lucky for me, being crafty and making cards always serves as an outlet and helps me calm my nerves, so I was so excited to wake up this morning and see the new challenge sketch was posted! Here is what the sketch looks like :

Here is my take on this weeks challenge:

I made this card wish my son in mind. I was a little scared at first to make a card with a completely black base, but I think overall, it turned out pretty cute!

I hope you all enjoyed this card as much as I did making it! Take care and have a great week ahead!

  1. Cute card for a child. Black background is good for the Halloween theme.

  3. I like it! I also made a fun Halloween card today with a black base. When I decide to use it, or send it to OWH, I'll be sure line it with either white or a light gray color, so that it's easy to write in!!

I hope things in your life will be better soon. I can totally relate to how crafting helps you feel better! :)

    Happy Crafting,
    Lisa

  10. I love the black card base! It works perfectly with this cute Halloween card! Is that a dog bone on the sentiment panel? Such a fun idea, I love it!!

  11. Thanks so much for stopping over to my blog and linking the candy in your sidebar. Wow, when you were at Hershey Park, you were about an hour from where I live! BTW, Lavish is not always best. I put your name in the bucket for the candy. Mary Anne

  12. Thanks so much Mary Anne! Ill be keeping my fingers crossed :) and to answer your question, "Our litte inspirations", i think its supposed to be a long bone from a skeleton because its from the same halloween stamp set as the pumpkin and spider! i thought it just spiced up the sentiment a little and added a little scaryness :) the set is from Fiskars, my favorite! thanks for all the comments ladies!
