OWH Midweek Throwdown-Shipper's Choice (Masculine Cards)

Hey there everyone!

We had an awesome thunderstorm here last night in Mannheim, Germany! I just love thunderstorms!! It calmed me down some and brought back some of my creative juices, so I tried to get this challenge over with while I still had them :) It has been super hot over here lately, and everyone has been BBQing out on their grills and kids are always running around, so I thought this card would be a perfect summertime card! It can be used for "Father's Day", a general "I miss you", or just a simple, "Hello, Im thinking of you today" card! Enjoy! :)

Masculine cards seem to be a challenge in itself for me lately. I made A LOT of Father's Day cards earlier this year to send to Operation Write Home ( and just haven't had the energy or ambition I guess to get into making more....but, thankfully, for this challenge, I found the energy to get some masculine cards done!

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my card, I hope you enjoyed and maybe even got a little inspired to go make your own masculine card! I know I usually get my own inspiration from the ladies on OWH blogs!! :)

  1. I like it! I noticed you also used the OWH sketch from Sunday, nice job! I hope your creative juices start flowing and you have some time to create more beautiful cards very soon. Thanks for playing along in our OWH MWT challenge this week.

  2. thanks so much! i love this sketch, so Im probably going to use it a LOT lol :) thanks for the comment Jan

  3. Cute card! BBQ themes make great masculine cards. I have at least a dozen "Grill Kings" in my family! :)

  4. thx paula! i know a lot of guys on post here cookout, so i was hoping to make a connection with some poor soldier and his/her family member! :) hope they like it anyway

  5. Sara, I am so glad I came across you blog. I enjoyed looking around. I had to go look at your bloghop cards - very nice. I like the one with the flowers - simple but elegant - a good card for a soldier to send home to him wife or Mom or girlfriend. I also like you masculine card. Very cute. Thank you also for your kind comments on my blog. Look forward to seeing more of your cards! Blessings, Louise Fox
